HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 03.22.1971 - Boundary Extention2.9 RESOLUTION Be it resolved that the Mayor of the City of Georgetown take the steps necessary and required by law in order that the City limits of Georgetown be extended southward along Interstate 35 as soon as lawful. That the proper notices be given as required by Article 970a Vernons Civil Statutes and that the 5th day of April,1971, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. be set and designated as the time, and that the City Council Chamber be the place, for the public hearing so that all interested persons shall have the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation of the property described on the attached and annexed Exhibit A" which is hereby made a part of this resolution for all.purposes. SLOAN, MAYOR, CITY OF GEORGETOWN CITY SECRETARY C NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CONTEMPLATED ANNEXATION V NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSON, THAT: The City of Georgetown, Texas proposes to institute annexation proceed- ings to enlarge and extend the boundary limits of said city to include the property described on "Exhibit A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all puposes. A public hearing will be held by and before the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas on the 5th day of April, 1971 at 7:30 P.M. o'clock in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Georgetown, Texas, for all persons interested in the above proposed annexation. BEGINNING at a point on the existing South City Limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, said point being on the East Right -of -Way Line of Interstate Highway No. 35 and being S 71032142" E, 200 feet from Engineer's centerline station 1005+00; THENCE with the East Right -of -Way line as follows: S 18027118"W, 1309.5 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left; THENCE 1192.1 feet along the are of a curve whose radius is 11,259.158 feet and whose central angle is 6003158" to a point 200 feet left of Engineer's centerline station 1,030+22.27; THENCE S 12023118"W, 1113.86 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left; THENCE 1536.59 feet along the are of a curve whose radius is 11,259.158 feet and whose central angle is 7049110" to a point 200 feet left of Engineer's centerline station 1057+00; THENCE N 85025152" W, 400 feet through said Engineer's centerline station 1057+00 to a point on the West Right-ofWay line of Interstate Highway No.35; THENCE with the West Right -of -Way line as follows: 1591.18 feet along the arc of a curve to the right whose radius is 11,659.158 feet and whose central angle is 7049110" to a point 200 feet right of Engineer's centerline station 1041+36.13; THENCE N 12023'18" E, 1113.86 feet to the beginning of a curve to the right; THENCE,1234.40 feet along the are of a curve whose radius is 11,659.158 feet and whose central angle is 6003158" +,o a point 200 feet right of Engineer's centerline station 1018+09.05; THENCE N 18027"18" E, 1309.5 feet to a point on the existing South City Limits of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and on the West Right -of -Way line of Inter- state Highway No.35, this point being 200 feet right of Engineer's centerline station 1005+00; THENCE S 71032"42"E, 400 feet along the said South City Limits line to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
