A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AMENDING THE UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT
CODE (UDC) DEVELOPMENT MANUAL FEE SCHEDULE TO UPDATE
THE SPECIAL PURPOSE DISTRICT FEE SCHEDULE; REPEALING
CONFLICTING RESOLUTIONS; INCLUDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in a City Council Meeting on January 22, 2019, the City Council of the City
of Georgetown ("City Council") approved on Consent a Resolution No. 012219-S (the
"Establishing the Planning and Development Application Fees Pursuant to the City of Georgetown
UDC Resolution") to establish Application Fees in accordance with UDC Section 3.02.020.B; and
WHEREAS, in a City Council Meeting on October 12, 2021, City Council approved on
Consent a Resolution No. 101221-AC (the "Approving and Adopting the Attached Fee Schedule
for Certain Building Permit and Inspections, and Planning and Development Application Pursuant
to the City of Georgetown UDC Resolution") to establish Application Fees in accordance with
UDC Section 3.02.020.B; and
WHEREAS, in a City Council Meeting on August 23, 2022, City Council approved on
Consent a Resolution No. 082322-AE (the "Establishing the Planning and Development
Application Fees Pursuant to the City of Georgetown UDC Resolution") to establish Application
Fees in accordance with UDC Section 3.02.020.B; and
WHEREAS, over the past seven (7) years, Special Purpose District administrative fees
have experienced minimal increases despite rising operational demands; and
WHEREAS, during this period, the volume and complexity of Special Purpose District
applications and related activities have increased significantly, requiring additional staff,
resources, and administrative support to maintain service levels and ensure timely processing; and
WHEREAS, the increased workload and expanded staffing needs have resulted in higher
operational costs; and
WHEREAS, an adjustment to the Special Purpose District administrative fees is necessary
to more accurately reflect the current cost of delivery service and to ensure the continued efficiency
and sustainability of City operations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to update the Unified Development Code (UDC)
Development Manual Fee Schedule to change the Special Purpose District New Application Fee
and the Special Purpose District Minor Amendment Fee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1. The meeting at which this resolution was approved was conducted in
compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.

Section 2. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby
found and declared to be true and correct and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly
made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
Section 3. The Special Purpose District Fee Schedule is amended as shown below:

Section 4. All resolutions that conflict with the provisions of this resolution are hereby
repealed, and all other resolutions of the City of Georgetown not in conflict with the provisions of
this resolution shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 5. If any provision of this resolution, or application thereof, to any person or
circumstance, shall be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions, or
application thereof, of this resolution, which can be given effect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end the provisions of this resolution are hereby declared to be severable.
Section 6. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign this resolution and the City Secretary to
attest. This resolution shall become effective and be in full force and be effective as of October 1,
2026, in accordance with the provisions of the City Charter of the City of Georgetown.
