A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, APPROVING THE 2008/09 BUDGET AND RELATED PROPERTY TAX
ASSESSMENT FOR THE GEORGETOWN VILLAGE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT #1;
WHEREAS, the City is required by State Law to approve the proposed budget and related
property tax assessment for the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District #1 (PID); and
WHEREAS, the proper notice of the property tax assessment was published in the
Williamson County Sun; and
WHEREAS, the assessment supports the service plan for the PID as previously established.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Georgetown hereby approves the proposed
budget and property tax assessment for the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District #1 to
be adopted and levied as required by State Law.
RESOLVED this 23th day of September, 2008.

1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER.
The meeting was called to order at 5:11 pm.
2. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE
MINUTES OF AUGUST 11, 2008 MEETING.

3. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON LANDSCAPE AND
MAINTENANCE ITEMS.
There was no action taken on this item.
4. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON CURRENT
LANDSCAPE CONTRACT EXPIRING SEPTEMBER 30, 2008,
WITH AVAILABLE OPTIONS AND CHANGE$ IN SCOPE AND
PROCEDURES BY SUNTERRA FOR TERM TO BE
DETERMINED.
A motion was made to continue with the existing contract,
modified to exclude the City of Georgetown components,
for the next three months (October, November and
December) in order to allow the GTV PID to review all
relevant information pertinent to extending the modified
contract or bidding out a new contract.

5. CONSIDERATION AND ACTION OF BUDGET FOR FY
2008/2009
After discussion with the City of Georgetown
representative(s) a determination was made to utilize the
estimated assessed value provided by WILCAD to the City
of Georgetown and allocate the same percentages as used
in the previous years budget submission for maintenance,
utilities, contract management, etc.

the City of Georgetown for consideration.,

6. CONSIDERATION AND ACTION TO SET TAX RATE FOR
GEORGETOWN VILLAGE PID #1 AT .20/100 FOR 2009 TAX
YEAR.
A motion was made to continue the existing tax rate for the
GTV PID #1.

7. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO DETERMINE THE
PROCESS AND NOMINATIONS FOR THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS AND ELECTION OF OFFICER FOR THOSE
MEMBERS WHOSE TERMS ARE EXPIRING, RESIGNING, NOT
WISHING TO BE REAPPOINTED, AND /OR VACANCIES THAT
EXIST ON THE BOARD CURRENTLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN ORDINANCE AND BY -LAWS
CURRENTLY IN EFFECT.

A. It was noted that Brian Ortego submitted his resignation
as President in an e-mail dated September 7, 2008.
A motion was made to request that Mr. Ortego remain in his
role as President of the GTV PID #'1 until such time as the
Board can review membership, roles and solicit new
members.

B. Discussion was held regarding the process to be used to
solicit new PID Board members.
A motion was made that Regaon Seaver develop a
notification to all GTV PID homeowners stating the purpose
of the PID, along with other pertinent information, and an
attachment with instructions for applying to become a PID
Board member. The notification will be approved
electronically for dissemination by PID Board members and
Green Builders will assist in the distribution of the above to
facilitate rapid distribution of the above.

C. Discussion was held regarding the need to expedite the
above solicitation and selection of new PID Board

members. A GTV PID meeting will be held on September
29, 2008 for review of applications and voting on new
members.
8. RESIDENTS WISHING TO ADDRESS THE BOARD
None
9. OTHER BUSINESS
A discussion was held regarding Records Maintenance of
the GTV PID Board Meetings. It was determined that the
existing records maintenance system was not optimal,
therefore a need to locate all records in a single location
within the GTV was necessary.
A motion was made that a complete set of records for the
GTV PID #1 will be housed and maintained by Green
Builders in a common area accessible to all GTV PID
homeowners.
